The Role of a Defender Carer

A Defender carer is a Disability Support Worker who plays a pivotal role in empowering you to achieve your NDIS goals, while honoring and defending your dignity, rights and preferences.

Defender Carers provide Individual, Home and Community care support - they are game-changers - and inspire your journey of independence and growth.

They serve as companions and build trust through active listening - seeking to understand your needs and wants.

They communicate clearly and effectively.

Their decision-making acts in the best interest of your safety, while protecting your voice and control. They respect your choices.

Defender Carers show up strong for You - they step in with fierce commitment to defend and care with courage and strength. They are kindness-warriors. They are positive and confident, they bring the energy and fun. They always maintain personal and professional boundaries.
